Project: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Project Partners

Project Overview

Project 4.6 marks the installation of Tanzania’s very first disc golf course at the University of Dar es Salaam. This 18-hole course features long and short tee pads, making it accessible for both beginners and experienced players. The Paul McBeth Foundation collaborated with Israel Muwanguzi, our Project Driver from Uganda, who mentored Geofrey Rucho through the basket-building and installation process. This partnership is designed to build local expertise and create a model for expanding disc golf across East Africa.

Why This Location

The University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania’s leading academic institution, sits in a city of over 5 million residents. Its central location provides a powerful opportunity to introduce disc golf to both students and the wider community. By installing the course here, PMF hopes to foster recreational access, promote healthy lifestyles, and support the growth of disc golf in Tanzania and beyond.
