Why This Community?

Burgas, Bulgaria, with its rich cultural heritage, beautiful Black Sea coastline, and status as the fourth-largest city in the country, is an ideal location for PMF's Project 4.4. The city's vibrant community and proactive local government, represented by Deputy Mayor of Sport and Tourism Manol Todorov, have shown tremendous support for expanding recreational opportunities. The enthusiasm of local disc golf players, who have been organizing temporary leagues and advocating for the sport, underscores the community's readiness for a permanent course. This project not only introduces a new recreational activity but also taps into the city's passion for sports and outdoor activities. By establishing Bulgaria's first permanent disc golf course in Burgas, PMF aims to create a central hub for disc golf in the region, inspiring future growth and engagement with the sport.
